S P A C E D:
a group show of photography students
at Galleria Lapinlahti
SPACED is a group exhibition of ten photo-based artists exploring questions of time and space. The exhibition highlights the multidisciplinary practices of contemporary photography. Whilst many of the works bend photographs into sculptural and conceptual forms, the roots of the works are still deeply connected to the core of photography: the ability to capture subtle gestures and changes in time.
The artists participating in the exhibition are MA students of the Photography programme at Aalto University: Peter Holliday, Ville Hietala, Heikki Humberg, Karl Ketamo, Laura Konttinen, Ville Kumpulainen, Essi Orpana, Rainer Paananen and Aleks Talve, as well as the Aalto alumnus, teacher and a photographer Santeri Tuori.
Many of the featured works are part of the students’ MA theses, and SPACED is the very first iteration of the annual students’ group show. WELCOME!
