“I erased the lightness of letting go, the glitter. So that something could be born, to let it be… so that I won’t be stuck in any single position, won’t become numb, so that I could stay awake, being able to receive and give. So that I wouldn’t think alone, rolling on my own, by myself, rolling along the night, along the days, along all the streets together with the rainwater, into the drain, somewhere where it will be drifted again – instead, being able to flow anyway, being able to see it hear it, be myself there, at the spot. Present, receiving. Maybe I braided my hair and let them become a mess under the beanie, I ate rice and lentils. Just need to bear with that coziness. My window is heading southeast, it has shutters but no curtains. Sounds of pipes reach me from the outside, surrounding, they are many and different, high, clear whistles, sounds of shifting duration, different notes, pattern which repeats again and again, the day before yesterday it was just a black and white chug. To open up, maybe, therefore to relieve it from oneself, or something from somewhere, I have learned, I have learned, recently, and actually during several years already I have been making conclusions and trying, sometimes consciously, sometimes not so, to learn and to spit it out, to let to. It’s exactly like this, among the paradoxes, the teeming moments of choice. In the morning the light sneaks into my room as a friend, and finally I am a slightly more different character than before. Maybe at the skin level I understand it only now.”
ANEKS is an exhibition which addresses the theme of collaboration and explores the possibilities of sharing the artistic work. It is an installation created by five artists, where parts of the works are flowing onto and besides, forming a polyphonic unity. The exhibition consists of photography, video, sound, drawings, sculptures, texts and a book. The creation process preceding the final installation was a collective journey to which each artist committed with their own personality traits, busy schedules, worries and delights, desires and expectations. The background work was done together by writing on a digital platform, where all the thoughts were given the freedom to interlace and stratify.
